Course lecturers:

The course will be conducted by leading lecturers in the field Dr. Dov Kischinovsky and Dr. Omri Rudberg with the collaboration of Prof Eli Raviv.

Course Program:

  • Non-grafting alternatives for rehabilitation of the Atrophic Maxilla.
  • The Intermaxillary Surgical Protocol for Zygomatic Implants and its modification to Extramaxillary.
  • Anatomical and X-Ray interpretation connected with the placement of Zygomatic Implants.
  • Patient selection and Treatment Planning –Pre-Operation Patient’s Condition Assessment.
  • The surgical procedure and prosthetic rehabilitation aspects.
  • Impressions and the laboratory work.

HANDS-ON SESSION ON MODELS

  • Hands-on sessions on cadavers (two participants per Cadaver)
  • Analysis of clinical cases.
  • Managing eventual Zygomatic procedure complications
  • Discussion Panel

The course is intended only for physicians experienced in implantation.

Dr. Kischinovsky

Dr. Dov Kischinovsky is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He obtained his doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem in 1976 and a degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1986 following extensive training in advanced oral procedures, orthognathic and reconstructive surgery. He is formerly a lecturer in the academic program for students of oral and maxillofacial surgery and Head of the Oral Surgery Unit at Wolfson Medical Center. Dr. Kischinovsky did further subspecialty training in implantology with emphasis on bone grafting and use of the zygomatic implant in various hospitals in Scandinavia and Belgium. He is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (IAOMS) , International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and the Computer Aided  Implantology Academy(CAIA)as well as various national organisations for oral surgery and implantology. He frequently gives lectures locally and abroad and has written several papers in the fields of oral surgery, endodontic surgery and implantology. Dr. Dov Kischinovsky has an active private practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery with special expertise in 3D CT technology, bone grafting and dental implantology. He has 16  years of experience with zygomatic implants. By using computerized planning Dr. Kischinovsky offers alternatives to bone grafting and nerve repositioning in the lower jaw. He is a leading figure in this field and works regularly with referring doctors to provide care for the community.

Dr. Rudberg

Dr. Rudberg, born in 1963, graduated the “Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine” at the “Hebrew University, Jerusalem” in 1991. Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists since November 2015.  Practices implant surgery and rehabilitation in his private clinic, situated in the central part of Israel.

Lecturer and workshop conductor in Oral Implantology advanced methods.

Former general director of the “post graduate program for geriatric dentistry”, in the “Yad Sara Geriatric Dental Clinic” in Jerusalem (1993-1998).

Scholar in Residence at the “Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine” of the “Hebrew University, Jerusalem” (1998-2002).

Served as the chairman of the “Israeli Society of Geriatric Dentistry” (2001-2004).

Head of the “Unit for elderly and systemic involved patients” at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Centre (2004-2007).

Dr. Eli Raviv

DMD, Cert. Prosthodontist

Prof. Raviv received his dental degree from the University of Tel – Aviv and his certificate in Prosthodontics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.

He is an Associate professor in the Faculty of Dentistry, McGill University- Montreal, Canada.

Director of Prosthodontics and Associate Director of the Department of Dentistry, Sir Mortimer B. Davis –  Jewish General Hospital, Montreal, Canada.

He has been awarded numerous awards. The Julius Michman Prize, London.

First prize for best presentation – American Academy of Osseointegration,

Order of Dentists of Québec, Montreal, Québec and more. He is a member of the Editorial Review board of Quintessence International Journal.

Prof. Raviv is the former Editor in Chief of the Dental Tribune Journal- Canada.

For the past 30 years Prof. Raviv is involved in teaching and research of Implant Dentistry. He published in local and international peer reviewed journals.
