Clinical Case:

“Mono Implant: One-Piece implant for immediate loading!”

Performed by Michael Katzap, DDS

This is an 80-year-old female that sustained trauma to the lower teeth. All her teeth have porcelain restorations. When the lower central tooth broke, she did not want to involve damaging the other porcelain crowns. She wanted an immediate tooth replacement if possible.

The Noris mono offered that option!

The tooth root was atraumatically removed, preserving the socket walls. Noris mono 3.75×11.5 was immediately inserted. Due to the one-piece design, a provisional crown was immediately fabricated but was adjusted to be out of occlusion. The smooth abutment neck provides excellent soft tissue support. At a fixed length of 3mm it will help maintain the keratinized gingival cuff of the socket. Since the neck is narrower than the threaded implant body the mono had a built-in platform shift that will help bone formation at the crest. The last photo demonstrates excellent healing four months after the accident.
